About The Position
Harkins Builders is seeking a Superintendent II to join our team in Baltimore/Washington DC. This full-time position is integral to our construction management operations, particularly in the multifamily sector. As a Superintendent II, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple trade partners and managing various phases of construction simultaneously. Your role will involve not only managing the project and field team from the notice to proceed through to post-construction warranty but also mentoring Superintendent I and assistant superintendents to foster their professional development. You will coordinate closely with the design team and trade partners to address and resolve any issues that arise in the field, ensuring that the project runs smoothly and efficiently. In addition to managing the construction phases, you will assist in conducting trade partner progress meetings, maintaining accurate records in Procore, and providing leadership and support to all field staff. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing the scheduling, quality, safety, and production of trade partners, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. You will be expected to maintain a working set of as-built drawings on site and expedite the construction of exterior mock-ups as directed. This role requires a proactive approach to managing relationships with clients, design teams, trade partners, and inspectors, as well as the ability to communicate professionally and ethically with all parties involved in the project.
