About The Position

We’re seeking an experienced Superintendent I to oversee on-site construction activities for healthcare projects in the Cleveland market. This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader who understands the importance of safety, precision, infection control, and coordination in active or sensitive healthcare environments.

Requirements

  • Trade school, apprenticeship program, Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 10+ years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in a Superintendent or Foreman role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage schedule-driven projects with multiple stakeholders and strict compliance requirements
  • Excellent planning, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable using field technology and basic construction software systems
  • Proven ability to influence subcontractors and teams to achieve results
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on healthcare, institutional, or technically complex projects strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily on-site construction operations, supervising field staff, subcontractors, and on-site support personnel
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication with owners, healthcare facility representatives, design teams, subcontractors, and internal leadership
  • Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, safety requirements, and applicable healthcare and regulatory standards
  • Drive project schedules, coordinating sequencing and logistics to meet critical milestones and occupancy requirements
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, permits, site logistics, materials, equipment, and manpower
  • Enforce quality control standards and oversee correction of any deficient or non-conforming work
  • Review subcontractor scopes to confirm full coverage and coordinate closely with the Project Manager prior to award and final payment
  • Participate in job meetings, field coordination meetings, and company training programs
  • Support project billing and subcontractor payment processes through accurate and timely field documentation
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence, ensuring jobsite organization, cleanliness, and professionalism
