You’ll run crews and foremen, coordinate subcontractors, work directly with inspectors and owners’ reps, and use production & cost discipline to deliver profitable projects. This Superintendent will handle the day to day site operations of complex projects ranging from $5M to $100M. We expect this leader to be independent and capable of managing several crews, foremen and subcontractors, as well as fostering relationships with clients and their representatives. Why Waters? Salary Range: $140,000+ Based on experience and skill levels Insurance : Premium Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage (100% paid for the individual, 50% for family members) Bonus Program: Based on individual, company, and division performance 401k and Profit Sharing Plan: Safe harbor 401K profit sharing contribution. One-year vesting period for the profit sharing contribution. Superintendent Competencies and Responsibilities Position Competencies: Minimum of five 7 years of extensive experience executing and directing heavy civil infrastructure projects $5M and above. Proven knowledge of the civil industry, its safety and quality standards in particular Excellent ability in leading and influencing people Own project-wide safety execution and ensure crews follow safe work plans Ability to lead multiple crews and foremen; coordinate work plans, sequencing activities and daily execution Manage subcontractors and maintain control of their scope, schedule, and quality Deep knowledge and understanding of the CTDOT standards Work closely with inspectors; set agendas, arrange meetings, and resolve field issues professionally Ability to read, understand and interpret plans and drawings; visualize the end product; understand complete layout Ability to understand project schedules Proven knowledge and experience managing resources, budgets, and monitoring costs Run night operations under traffic when required Train developing foremen Capable of managing more than one project at once Personal and Cultural Competencies: Honest and with moral integrity Efficient and proactive Confident and Competent Organized and Focused on priorities Follow through on commitments and persistent Capable of analyzing data, assessing people and circumstances Detail oriented Ability to create a positive, enthusiastic and energetic work environment focused on the development of people Is a team-centered leader that will promote our safe, efficient, positive, respectful code of conduct This leader will be able to put its own ego aside and work on making the TEAM successful.
