About The Position
HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for a confidential commercial general contractor preparing to break ground on a major ground-up hospital project in Bluffton, South Carolina, beginning mid-2026. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Superintendent who has successfully led large-scale healthcare construction and is ready to take full ownership of a highly visible, long-term build. The client is seeking a field leader with strong execution discipline, proven subcontractor command, and deep familiarity with the safety, quality, and regulatory expectations of hospital construction. Requirements
- 5–10 years of Superintendent experience in large commercial construction
- Proven ground-up healthcare or hospital construction experience
- Independent jobsite leadership experience (not assistant-only background)
- Strong subcontractor management, safety enforcement, and quality accountability
- Ability to work fully onsite in Bluffton, SC
- Commitment to the mid-2026 project timeline and long-term execution
- Demonstrated job stability (2–3+ years per employer strongly preferred)
Nice To Haves
- Experience delivering full-scale hospitals or major acute-care facilities
- Background with top commercial general contractors in regulated environments
- Construction Management degree or equivalent field-based leadership expertise
- Calm, respected leadership style with strong client-facing communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day onsite field operations for a ground-up hospital construction project
- Own schedule execution, trade sequencing, and milestone delivery across all phases
- Direct and coordinate subcontractors, field crews, inspections, and site logistics
- Enforce rigorous safety practices and maintain compliance with healthcare construction standards
- Drive quality control across all scopes, ensuring work meets hospital-grade expectations
- Partner closely with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and leadership teams to keep execution aligned
- Serve as the primary onsite point of accountability for client communication, reporting, and progress updates
- Identify field risks early and solve problems decisively in high-stakes environments
