About The Position

With approximately 32 properties that include over 6,000 apartments, Goldfarb Properties is a family-owned and managed business, offering the finest apartments across five diverse regions. We are looking for a superintendent at our Far Rockaway location to join our team and to contribute to the culture and growth of our organization! A successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, and general maintenance, and at least 3 years in a supervisory position. You will be corresponding with residents on questions, issues, and concerns, and supervising the porters in your buildings. Control wiring, pumps, burners, and locksmith experience is a big plus.

Requirements

Positive CAN-DO attitude a MUST
Must have the following licenses (or be able to obtain within 30 days of employment): S-12
Comfortable being on-call 24/7
Extensive knowledge of plumbing (troubleshooting and repairing leaks)
Basic knowledge of electric
Ability to successfully snake and clear a drain
Troubleshoot a boiler
Own all necessary tools
Must be able to schedule and manage porters
Must be computer literate
Can replace ceramic tile
