The Superintendent, Facilities (Fire Suppression) position at New York City Transit is responsible for planning, organizing, directing units, and managing personnel in activities related to the maintenance and construction of Infrastructure assets within the Division of Facilities. This includes overseeing Yards & Barns, Heating & Air Conditioning, Fire Suppression & Building Maintenance. The role involves managing construction projects in subways, yards, and structures, developing cost estimates, and ensuring that Infrastructure assets are safe, cost-effective, and reliable. The Superintendent will also assume the duties of the General Superintendent in their absence.
