About the position

The Superintendent is responsible for leading and directing day-to-day field operations for assigned projects, ensuring that all activities align with the company's business objectives and profitability goals. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency in construction activities while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure work environment through safety meetings and incident investigations.
• Provide leadership direction for field operations to ensure a cohesive team with project management.
• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities on-site.
• Manage field personnel priorities to improve customer satisfaction and reduce costs.
• Coordinate all site construction activities and supervise field personnel to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
• Perform material take-offs and order necessary tools, materials, and equipment.
• Coordinate installation between trades and manage subcontractor progress.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company work rules on-site.
• Schedule equipment deliveries and inspections by governing authorities.
• Ensure quality of work meets corporate standards and project requirements.
• Conduct staff meetings with foremen and field personnel to address management issues and safety improvements.
• Manage project financials including labor, material, and other cost budgets.
• Work with project teams to ensure start-up and commissioning meet company standards.
• Assist in coordinating quality assurance of drafting resources and fabrication on the project.
• Maintain company culture and implement productivity improvements.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of verifiable experience as a Plumbing Superintendent with a state plumbing license.
• At least 5 years of experience in large commercial construction projects ($20M+) such as hospitals, high-rise hotels, casinos, and office buildings.
• Must have med-gas experience.
• At least 6 months of safety training.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledgeable about the industry and competitors.
