About The Position

The Assistant Plant Superintendent at CEMEX is responsible for overseeing the scheduling of personnel, coordinating job sites, managing plant operations and maintenance, and ensuring the quality and quantity of raw materials. This role emphasizes safety, performance management, and production efficiency within the plant environment.

Requirements

• College degree in an engineering discipline or 5+ years of relevant working experience preferred.
• 5+ years experience in plant production, safety, and maintenance; equipment maintenance; experience in detecting and resolving production problems.
• 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• ACI Certification and NRMCA Plant Manager Course preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some technical, vocational or education preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations.
• Strong basic computer skills including SAP, MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Command, KRONOS.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all CEMEX and OSHA rules and regulations and promote safety within the assigned plant.
• Manage costs and key performance indicators (KPI) for assigned plant(s).
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in the transportation and production of concrete.
• Ensure the quality and quantity of raw materials within assigned plant(s).
• Coordinate with Plant Superintendent and Environmental Department to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Responsible for ongoing improvement and support through Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives and projects.
• Assist in hiring and retention to maintain required headcount.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
