This position is located in The Woodlands, Texas and provides system support to the Midstream Accounting group.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in oil and gas accounting, with Midstream accounting preferred
Familiarity with W Energy (Waterfield) and/or TIPS and SAP accounting software is preferred
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Thorough understanding of oil and gas allocation and settlement accounting, field operations, and midstream contractual terms
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with employees and managers
Flexible work aptitude, managing ever-changing priorities and the ability to produce results under tight deadlines
Responsibilities
Provide W Energy (Waterfield) system support for the allocation and settlement processes, imbalances, revenue recognition implications and producer payments for Midstream Accounting
Maintain effective internal controls, consistent with the company's policies and procedures
Participate in special projects, testing and training as necessary
Develop strong working relationships with internal customers, including Midstream Accountants, Commercial Development, Internal Controls Group and KPMG
Work closely with Midstream Accounting and Commercial Development to understand physical product flow and commercial settlement terms and the implications of each in our allocation and settlement system setup
