About The Position

The SUNY Empire Innovation Program at Binghamton University is seeking two tenured faculty members in the field of regenerative medicine, specifically focusing on stem cell science, cell therapy, and biomanufacturing. Requirements

• MD or PhD degree in medicine, science, or engineering, with a focus on biomedical engineering, tissue engineering, or cell/molecular biology specializing in stem cell research.
• Proven research leadership with a strong record of scholarship as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and citations.
• Demonstrated experience in securing external funding for research initiatives.
• Effective educator and research mentor with experience in teaching.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in human pancreatic islet development and transplantation.
• Background in biomaterials and tissue bio-fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge research in regenerative medicine, particularly in stem cell science and biomanufacturing.
• Develop and implement a robust plan to enhance research partnerships between Binghamton University and Upstate Medical University.
• Contribute to the Road Map Initiative in the Transdisciplinary Area of Excellence in Health Science at Binghamton University.
