The SunShine Pride House Specialist is responsible for the overall day-to-day of the Sunshine Pride house. This includes developing the chore boards for the residents, room inspections, chore inspections, facilitating screenings and stuffings, purchasing food and household items as needed, and providing TIP life coaching as needed to residents of the house.

  • Ensure residents are following Pride House rules and structure
  • Assist residents in developing Futures Planning goals and hold them accountable to said goals
  • Support residents in move in and move out procedures
  • Screen referrals for eligibility with entire Pride House care team
  • Perform room inspections to ensure rules are being followed
  • Conflict resolution with residents when needed
  • Purchase groceries, linens, and cleaning supplies to ensure the Pride House is stocked with appropriate materials
  • Create chore charts and laundry schedule to maintain order and cleanliness
  • Manage alarm systems, key codes and surveillance cameras to ensure house security and resident safety
  • Organize house meetings and activities as necessary
  • Make community connections to boost incoming referrals and create referral pathways for residents needing to transition out of the Pride House
  • Communicate with fellow pride house team members to ensure the team remains on the same page of rules exceptions, conflicts, goals or any other necessary information concerning the residents.
  • Passion for LGBTQ+ equity, social justice, and community empowerment.
  • Minimum of 1 years in housing/shelter services.
  • Proven success in case management, and social services environment.
  • Strong understanding of program design, impact measurement, and community-centered solutions.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and storytelling skills.
  • Commitment to equity, intersectionality, and trauma-informed leadership.
