About The Position

Plans, implements, supervises youth members and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area. Builds and maintains a professional relationship with all youth and their families to help advance the mission of The Salvation Army.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred.
  • Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and As well as the ability to access payroll, timekeeping and personal data via a web-based system.
  • Administrative skills to include utilization of standard office equipment, data entry, 10- key.
  • Good attention to details and filing.
  • Good communication skills both written and spoken, and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters.
  • Must pass all applicable background checks.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
  • Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army.
  • A commitment to actively participate in a Professional Development Plan.
  • Basic First Aid and CPR Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and stimulates youth participation and assists with registration of new members and participates in their program orientation

  • Monitors and evaluates programs, services, and activities to ensure safety of youth and quality in programs.

  • Assists in maintaining facility and equipment in good working order as well as ensuring all storage areas are kept orderly and
