At the ViaQuest Foundation, our Transition Services team, partners with local, regional and national businesses and school districts to develop and promote Transition-aged youth in the workplace. We provide work experience opportunities that help Transition-aged youth identify career paths and foster independence. Apply today and make a difference in the lives of the students we serve! Responsibilities may include: Support and mentor small groups of high school students to develop skills necessary for entering the workforce, such as professional development and soft skills training. Train and supervise students who may have developmental disabilities to acquire the skills needed to perform specific job tasks, work routines and personal life habits. Assist students in performing their work responsibilities in a way that fosters independence, develop natural supports and help to ensure retention. Provide daily job skills training with a focus on community employment and inclusion. This position is great for: College Students- Work FT for the summer in a fun youth program! Para- Professionals looking to make extra income during Summer Vacation! Those interested in gaining more experience in the IDD field. Those who want to gain experience while taking classes.
