About The Position

When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.The 2025 Summer Youth Jobs program will take place on site at BIDMC. Participants will be matched with a specific hospital department and will work Monday-Thursday in placements. Included are some group sessions focusing on healthcare career exploration, professionalism and additional training.Job Description:

Requirements

• Some High School required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both written and verbally in a virtual format.
• Ability to work collaboratively in small teams virtually to accomplish required projects.
• Possess an interest in learning about the careers in health care.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsibilities

• Program participants will perform a variety of administrative or customer service duties assigned by their department supervisors and will participate in weekly group meetings with their peers and program organizers. (essential)
