About The Position

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals? We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to fill the role of Youth Center Leaders at our community-focused organization this summer! Shift Options: Summer Programming runs June 1st-August 19th (Can start earlier, depending on scheduling needs) Weekdays: 12:00-7:00PM; 12:00-4:00PM; 4:00-7:00PM Weekends: 12:00– 4:00 pm (If interested in 40 hours will work 4 week days and one weekend day)

Requirements

Passionate about working with kids.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate school-aged (10-18) activities.
Ability to organize/lead fun and engaging activities.
At least 18 years old, to drive Y vehicles, must have a valid driver’s license and be 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

Behavior intervention skills would be beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet and engage with each youth as they arrive.
Provide positive and appropriate mentorship for all youth.
Maintain behavior expectations for all youth.
Ensure supervision and safety of all youth.
Facilitate fun and engaging group activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts.
Prepare healthy snacks and meals.
Reliability and clear communication.
Able to work effectively in a team environment.
Clean up the Youth Center with youth before their leaving.
