About The Position

Lhoist North America is offering a summer program aimed at providing family members of employees or other candidates with skills and knowledge in the mining and manufacturing environment. This program will expose participants to various aspects of the mining industry and provide future opportunities for career growth. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform various lab tasks such as drill chips.
• Participate in identified clean-up projects such as 5S projects.
• Assist in cleaning and organizing parts and spares.
• Provide support in tagging unmarked equipment.
• Learn best safety and housekeeping practices.
• Gain knowledge about the mining and manufacturing industry.
• Participate in future internship possibilities.
• Ensure a Safe Quality Food (SQF) workplace and follow regulatory compliance with Federal FDA - Food Modernization Safety Act.
• Support Environmental Health and Safety, as well as SQF initiatives and awareness programs.
• Be a leader and promoter of employee safety and SQF culture.
• Complete periodic SQF training(s).
• Participate in audits for regulatory, safety, SQF, and environmental compliance.
