About The Position

The Summer Videographer supports the Office of Student Life in the development, design, and implementation of video assets for Residence Life, Commuter Life, Online Life, and Graduate Life. The position supports a variety of project and program needs from the design, filming, and editing of videos, to event support capturing photos and video footage.

Requirements

• Must be a Liberty University student.
• Ability to operate a DSLR camera and accessories.
• Ability to use Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) to edit footage.

Nice To Haves

• Be a Liberty University student in a creative/communications field.
• Ability to use Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) to edit photos.
• Ability to use Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, etc.) to edit videos and animations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Office of Student Life (OSL) brand guides to develop and execute various video-based projects, including social media content and assets for events and internal initiatives.
• Work with the OSL team on a project-by-project basis to produce new team materials and update existing content in a timely and creative manner.
• Provide coverage of events by filming and editing video footage.
• Help provide B-Roll photography and videography support for design initiatives.
• Occasionally work non-standard hours as events or photography coverage needs arise.
• Attend required departmental events and meetings to encourage collaboration, problem solving, and community health in the workplace.
• Provide input in developing project components and strategies.
• Provide administrative support on an as-needed basis.
• Organize and maintain all digital files in Dropbox.
• Other duties as assigned.
