About The Position

Summer Vice Presidents are entrusted with significant responsibility, leading transaction evaluation and execution, and value creation initiatives across our investments. You will operate in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, collaborating with senior H.I.G. leadership to shape strategy and drive growth. The Summer VP position has ability to earn a full time Vice President offer . The full time Vice President role is a partner track position for top performers. Advantage Buyout (San Francisco) Target EBITDA: $15mm - $100mm Fund II (2022): $2 billion Focused on stable, high-quality targets and growth buyouts. Compensation: This internship role is paid at an annualized rate of $185,000 - $200,000. Actual compensation will be prorated based on the duration of the internship.

Requirements

  • Private Equity / Investing Experience Strongly Preferred: Candidates with prior investing experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Analytical & Strategic Rigor: Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, with the ability to lead and oversee financial modeling, business diligence, and strategic assessments.
  • Leadership & Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills, presence, and the ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and build trusted relationships.
  • Academic Excellence: A track record of superior academic performance at top-tier undergraduate and MBA programs is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation of investment opportunities and identify merits and risks of potential transactions.
  • Develop thematic investment areas for future investment.
  • Direct and manage all facets of the due diligence process.
  • Engage with financing partners and external advisors throughout the deal process.
  • Manage and mentor Associates.
  • Contribute to contract negotiations and legal documentation.
  • Play a critical role in liquidity events, including sale processes and recapitalizations.
