Are you with us?!? We are seeking Summer Employees at our Thilmany Mill in Kaukauna, WI . Starting rate of pay for production/shift work is $25.64 per hour! Employees are also eligible for a $3.50 per hour shift differential on weekends! Summer employees work throughout the mill in a variety of departments, such as in our paper mill, pulp mill, material handling, etc. Responsibilities would include helping the department with general clean-up around paper machines and other moving equipment, operating forklifts to assist with cleanup and various tasks, assisting machine operators, and other various projects in the mill. Employment would run from May/June through August/September.

Requirements

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• At least 18 years of age to work in a manufacturing environment
• Must be a minimum of 17 years of age, however, work will be limited to non-manufacturing, exterior grounds and paint crew work. Swing shift work is unavailable and wage rate will be less per hour. Please note: the number of people hired for this is extremely limited.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour 2-2-3 shift schedule or rotating 8-hour southern swing (schedule is dependent on department). We do not have any straight shift openings and most will require weekend work.
• Able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to work well with a team
• Perform heavy work, defined as lifting 100 lb. maximum with help, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs
• Perform work while wearing a supplied air respirator (dependent on department)
• Work around fast-moving machinery
• Work at heights
• Drive a lift-truck type vehicle and operate hoists
• Work in a hot and humid environment
• Ahlstrom’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, must be adhered to, as applicable, to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.

Responsibilities

• Helping the department with general clean-up around paper machines and other moving equipment
• Operating forklifts to assist with cleanup and various tasks
• Assisting machine operators
• Other various projects in the mill
• Must follow Ahlstrom's manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
• Provide support to multiple areas and departments throughout the mill.
• Responsible for department housekeeping, as requested.
• Assist equipment operators, as required.
• Painting, clerical tasks, other production tasks, as requested.
