As a Teller Intern, you play an integral role in the customer experience at the bank. You provide more than a transaction; you have the opportunity every day to build successful relationships with our customers and with your team. As a Teller Intern you will have the opportunity to support various branches as needed and gain exposure to other business areas within the bank. This internship is scheduled for 40 hours per week, with flexibility based on availability and school schedule. In addition, our FIRST Values apply to all teammates without exception. What will you do: Accountabilities Service Excellence Respectful and courteous to internal and external customers. Provide consistent exceptional customer service through all delivery channels as measured by excellent ESI survey ratings. Provide excellent customer service on branch phone and customer support phones. Answer all customer questions or transfer call to expert when needed. Accuracy Follow guidelines, policies, and procedures of the bank to keep errors to a minimum. Perform functions of a Teller including completing deposit and withdrawal transactions, telephone transfers, balance inquiries, and other customer-related questions. Complete daily branch capture functions including but not limited to scanning, balancing, deposit corrections, and notifying customers. Process deposits from various sources including deposit bags, mail, ATM, and lockbox services. Balance all teller transactions daily. Referrals Build customer relationships to establish quality referrals to all areas of the Bank. Provide consistent exceptional customer service with all existing and potential customers in person or by phone by recognizing opportunities to refer, solving problems, answering questions, updating account information, or transferring calls when appropriate. Build customer relationships that are meaningful and sincere to establish quality referrals to all areas of the Bank. Professional Development Actively engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and contribute to your overall growth. Collaborate with your supervisor to set clear learning objectives for the internship, aligning them with your career goals.
