About The Position

As a Camp Counselor , you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the children in your care, creating a supportive and educational environment, and upholding the core values of Magic Memories. You will have the opportunity to strengthen the overall culture of the center and to be a role model for our staff, families, and local community. Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required (a copy has to be provided)
  • Min. of Two Years of Professional Experience in Early Childhood Education
  • Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • A desire to make a difference in the lives of children!
  • Effective decision making

Nice To Haves

  • Associate, or Bachelor's Degree in ECE preferred
  • Passion Matters While two years of experience is preferred, we are open to training candidates who demonstrate: Strong organizational skills Flexibility in challenging situations A desire to grow in the field of early childhood education A commitment to creating a positive learning environment

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the correct functioning and well-being of the site, co-workers, children, and families, while maintaining ratios and supervision at all times.
  • Understand, adhere to, and be an example of the Company and Center policies, procedures, benefits, responsibilities, activities, systems, Core Values, and NAEYC Code of Ethics.
  • Structures and plans a developmentally appropriate educational experience in the classroom and in lesson plans using methods such as storytelling, centers, songs, games, and education and recreational activities designed to improve fine and gross motor skills.
  • Teaches students to follow rules and procedures in the classroom and school.
  • Monitors students’ progress throughout the year and evaluates developmental progress.
