About The Position

JOB POSITION: Summer Targeted Services Paraprofessional LOCATION: Forest Hills Elementary CLASSIFICATION: MSEA Level II RATE OF PAY: $21.11/hour HOURS PER DAY: 3.5 START & ENDING TIME: 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM WORKING DAYS PER YEAR: 24 PROGRAM DATES: Session 1: June 22nd - July 9th Session 2: July 20th - August 6th QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: Two year degree or higher or 60 credits toward a degree. Strong reading, writing and math skills. Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents. Ability to problem solve, be sensitive to the needs of academically challenged students. Ability to supervise children in a positive manner. Knowledge of discipline policies & procedures. Ability to follow the teacher's plan & direction; monitor situation in the classroom & adjust accordingly. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Experience working with children.
