Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing, entering the final year of the program.
• Successfully completed at least one clinical rotation.
• Completed fundamentals of nursing prior to the program start.
• BLS Certification.
• Available to commit to a minimum of 24 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Develop interdisciplinary communication and collaboration skills.
• Reinforce basic nursing skills.
• Increase clinical competency in practice.
• Attend regular meetings with educators, nurse managers, and team members.
• Participate in various in-services and educational programs offered at Bridgeport Hospital.
