Summer Student Event Fellows are current students responsible for the many activities related to efficiently operating the College’s robust summer camps and conferences programming. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing residence halls, rooms, and campus spaces for guests, running event registration & check-in, providing camper safety support, transportation services, troubleshooting facility, technology, and catering support, educating guests about St. Olaf and leading them through signature St. Olaf experiences, one-on-one connections with camp and conference directors, anticipating and executing event needs, and additional projects and office duties as assigned. Work will begin on Thursday, May 21, and conclude Friday, August 21; preference will be given to students who are available to work the duration of the position. This is a full-time position with a daily schedule that varies; students will work an average of 32-40 hours per week. Students will work an average of 6 hours a day, sometimes less, sometimes more. Staff receive 1½ - 2 days off each week, and vacations must be pre-approved during the summer. Staff must have a flexible schedule, including weekend and evening hours. This position is not compatible with holding a second position or with attending summer school classes. Staff must live on campus in the housing provided for the duration of employment. Preference may be given to candidates with a valid drivers’ license, though it is not required. Priority Deadline for Applications is March 12, 2026. Applications submitted after the priority deadline will be considered on a rolling basis. Interviews will commence in mid-March.
