About The Position
2026 SUMMER SCHOOL OUTDOOR LAB ASSISTANT (HOURLY) VACANCIES PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS AVAILABLE TO WORK ALL THREE SESSIONS Session A: July 6, 2026- July 10, 2026 Session B: July 13, 2026 - July 17, 2026 Session C: July 20, 2026 - July 24, 2026 Help lead activities for children at week-long (M-F) sessions of summer camp, in July, at the Phoebe Hall Knipling Outdoor Lab’s Summer Camp located in Broad Run (Fauquier County), VA Live on the premises during each camp session and sleep in the tent area Participate in pre-camp and post-camp duties, including a mandatory all-day training at the Outdoor Lab prior to the beginning of the first session Other duties as assigned by the Camp Director Candidates should contact Rochelle Proctor, Outdoor Lab Coordinator at [email protected] or at 540-347-2258 if interested in this position or have any questions.
Requirements
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
Nice To Haves

- Ability to lead activities and to take direction from the Outdoor Lab Director and teachers
- Flexible and a team player
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently, be courteous to staff and campers
- Be reliable and punctual
- Ability to work in any weather conditions
Responsibilities
