About The Position

The Summer School Front Office Clerk provides essential support to campus administration during the summer school program. This role assists in the efficient operation of the school to help ensure a positive educational experience for all students. The clerk will provide clerical and administrative support across multiple areas, including the front office, classrooms, and lunchroom. Responsibilities include assisting staff, supporting daily campus operations, and maintaining organized and responsive service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and able to collaborate with staff while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence.

Requirements

  • Communicate effectively, comprehend, and understand communications
  • Knowledge of computers, for word processing and other basic tasks.
  • Able to accept and learn new and improved education theories and techniques.
  • Able to interact effectively with co-workers, parents, volunteers, and others in the classroom.
  • Able to work with others using a team model and to follow basic teamwork principles.
  • Microsoft Office, Eduphoria, Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier). General Knowledge of accounting procedures, district policies, and school law.
  • Work is typically performed in a standard interior work environment, with no hazardous or unpleasant elements.
  • Ability to carry and/or lift less than 15 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with elementary-age students is preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical and administrative support in the front office
  • Greet and assist parents, students, and visitors in a professional manner
  • Answer phones, take messages, and respond to general inquiries
  • Assist with student check-in/check-out procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and files
  • Support teachers and staff with classroom and administrative needs
  • Assist with lunchroom supervision and coordination as needed
  • Perform data entry and basic office tasks (copying, filing, scanning)
  • Ensure confidentiality of student and staff information
  • Collaborate with campus staff to support daily operations
  • Performs any additional duties related to the school's ongoing effectiveness, as directed by the supervisor.
