About The Position

StandardAero is seeking a motivated, eager, and innovative student looking to join our Environmental Health & Safety Team for the 2025-2026 term. As a Safety intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence. Over the course of your 10-12 week (or longer) internship, you will have the opportunity to work directly with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) professionals to learn how safety culture is built, maintained, and continuously improved across our projects. Gain experience in job site inspections, safety audits, environmental compliance checks, and employee safety training support, all while participating in professional development and networking activities. You will receive mentorship from experienced EHS managers and safety coordinators, and gain insights into career paths in safety management, environmental compliance, and industrial hygiene.

Requirements

  • Solid academic performance
  • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation on or before August 2027
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time during Fall/Winter of 2025 and full-time during Summer 2026
  • Desired Majors: Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or Environmental Science
  • ISO45001 experience preferred but not required
  • Must be local to the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong technical experiences as demonstrated through technical projects, research, or previous internships

Responsibilities

  • Assist EHS staff in conducting safety inspections and job hazard analyses at active electrical construction sites
  • Help ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety policies
  • Collect, track, and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning
  • Participate in the review and preparation of Job Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Safety Inspection Reports
  • Assist in the development and delivery of employee safety training and toolbox talks
  • Review and maintain environmental compliance records, such as hazardous material handling and waste disposal documentation
  • Contribute to a Continued Improvement project aimed at improving safety or environmental processes, culminating in a presentation to company leaders
  • Updating records in the Environmental Health & Safety database
