StandardAero is seeking motivated, eager, and innovative students looking to join one of our A&P teams for the 2026 summer term. As an intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence. Over the course of your 10-12 week internship, you will have the opportunity to partner with an existing aerospace engine mechanic team to support the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations in Dallas, TX. Students will work with experienced engine mechanics on various engine projects that include repair, troubleshooting, reporting, and documentation processes.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must meet screening and security requirements.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have proven mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Must have proven experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to accurately read and interpret dimensions and measurements.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time daily.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, crawl, and climb ladders to work on areas within the aircraft that are difficult to access.
  • Must be able to think clearly and speak intelligibly on the telephone and in person.

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to perform routine maintenance and major inspections on turbine powered aircraft engines.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft components and engines as part of the OJT program.
  • Work with hand-held tooling as well as OEM tooling.
  • Use torque wrenches and precise measuring tools.
  • Balance theory and application.
  • Observe all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping rules and policies.
  • May perform other duties as required by the department.
