City of Davis Parks & Community Services offers various summer camps for youth, 6 to 12 years of age. Camp programs include Rainbow Summer, Summer Quest, Arts and Crafts Camp, Kids in the Kitchen, Kinder Camp, PM Kids Club, Teen Camp and Skate Camp. The Recreation Leader positions are responsible for ensuring a fun-filled, healthy, structured and comfortable environment for all. These positions assist in the planning, supervising and evaluating of all camp activities, including assisting with the supervision of camp volunteers, youth participants and camp activities. Must be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (schedules vary) from June through August, attend Monday or Tuesday evening staff meetings during the summer dates, and participate in mandatory trainings in late May to early June. Community Services Specialist I - $16.55 per hour. Temporary part time, no benefits. Applicants will be screened according to experience relevant to this position. Those most qualified will be invited to an individual or small group interview.
