Saturday, February 21 10am Check in Human Resources Check-In Location: 3605 East Bougainvillea Ave - Busch Gardens HR Building What you get to do: Perform 4-10 shows a day for up to 40 hours/week, to include special functions, rehearsals, and recordings Create memorable guest experiences during summer shows and streetmosphere activations Provide exceptional performances and guest interactions Perform all other duties as assigned What it takes to succeed: Must be at least 18 years old Outgoing and friendly personality- versatile and ability to improvise Outstanding performance and showmanship while performing set choreography and improvisation activations Flexible with work hours and working conditions- must be able to perform in costume outside in Florida weather conditions High School graduate (preferred) Communicate professionally and effectively with ambassadors and guests Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights (if needed/required) Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying Florida weather, to include extreme heat. Share the joy of entertaining children and other guests as a costumed character by greeting guests, shaking hands, posing for pictures, and giving hugs. Costumed character performers also act as a character escort to assist with guest interactions. Dancers - Demonstrate technical proficiency in a variety of styles including jazz, musical theatre, ballet, and modern. Partnering skills, break dancing, tumbling, tap, or other specialties are a plus. Dancers perform in multiple high-energy shows per day to connect with our guests and create memories that last a lifetime. Event Performers - Bring our special and seasonal events to life such as Event Host, Culinary Performers and Santa's Helpers. Instrumentalists - Proficient in percussion, brass, woodwinds or guitar. All instrumentalists should have the ability to play varying styles ranging from pop/rock to Motown to gospel and must be able to memorize music for shows and perform with great stage presence. Scare Squad - Enthusiastic performers, who are passionate about Halloween, to add fun and scary excitement to our award-winning Howl-O-Scream events. Vocalists - Great energy and stage presence who can demonstrate technical proficiency in a variety of styles including pop, rock, musical theatre, classical, contemporary, and a cappella vocal styling. Capacity to hear/sing harmonies is a must. Sight reading skills are not required but are preferred. Vocalists perform in multiple high-energy shows per day to connect with our guests and create memories that last a lifetime. How should I prepare for my audition? You will be asked to learn a dance combination and participate in improve and athletic stamina exercises. Costumed character auditions are based primarily on movement, non-verbal communication, and physical coordination. Please arrive early enough to stretch and warm up before the audition begins. Please wear form fitting dance attire that allows a full range of movement and tennis or jazz shoes. Please do not wear jeans.
