Summer Maintenance Helper
About The Position
At Agropur, we produce some of the highest-quality dairy products in the industry, and that takes a strong team behind the scenes. Our Weyauwega Cheese Plant is looking for a Maintenance Summer Help team member to support our department during the busy summer months. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning how manufacturing equipment operates, and being part of a team that keeps production running smoothly. As a member of our maintenance team for the summer, you’ll help support day-to-day plant operations by assisting with general maintenance tasks and projects around the facility. This role provides valuable exposure to industrial maintenance within a food manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High school student, college student, or individual interested in maintenance or manufacturing work
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning how equipment works
- Ability to safely use basic tools and follow instructions
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, equipment movement, and temperature variation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and a strong team mindset
Nice To Haves
- Experience in maintenance, construction, mechanical work, or manufacturing is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting maintenance technicians with routine maintenance and repairs
- Supporting preventative maintenance activities on plant equipment
- Helping with equipment cleaning, lubrication, and inspections
- Completing small facility improvement or repair projects
- Maintaining a clean and organized maintenance workspace
- Following all plant safety, food safety, and quality standards
- Assisting with general upkeep of equipment and tools
