As a YMCA Lifeguard, you’ll: Keep swimmers safe by enforcing pool rules and safety guidelines Stay rescue-ready and respond confidently to emergencies Monitor pool areas and assist with aquatic activities Assess swimmers’ abilities to ensure a safe environment Participate in paid training and shadow shifts (For Swim Instructors) Teach fun, structured lessons using the YUSA curriculum At the YMCA, you’re more than just an employee—you’re part of a community that is committed to making a difference.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
- Current certifications in Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, Pro CPR, First Aid and Oxygen, or willing to obtain
- Seeking applicants with daytime availability interested in summer season employment, anticipated start date in May or June, sooner if available!
