About The Position

Under the direction of the Pool Manager, the Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all members and guests. The individual serving in this position is responsible for enforcing all rules and regulations as well as responding to emergency situations that may arise.

Requirements

  • Must possess Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or have the ability to attain certification
  • Must be 16 or older.
  • Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the pool deck for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekdays, and weekends
  • Must be available to work holidays

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all swim and dive activity to ensure safety for all members and guests
  • Ability and endurance to rescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer first aid
  • Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
  • Ability to work under pressure or stress while maintaining steady communication
  • Exhibit top level customer service when interacting with all members and guests
  • Assisting in activities, events, and promotions to enhance member experience.
  • Patrolling pool areas to maintain cleanliness of the facility. Such as picking up towels, trash, and toys.
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed.
