About The Position

The Paycom Junior Executive Internship is an excellent opportunity for students to gain real-world exposure to the various elements that contribute to success within a fast-paced sales office. This internship is designed to provide hands-on, real-life business training and experience, broadening the interns' understanding of sales techniques, research strategies, and the behind-the-scenes responsibilities necessary to take Paycom's industry-leading product to market. Interns will engage in extensive sales training, which includes pre-call planning, analysis, and presentation preparation, allowing them to develop essential skills that are critical in the sales environment. Interns will have the chance to prospect potential new clients during weekly prospecting sessions and manage inbound phone calls from companies interested in discussing the Paycom solution. They will also create quotes using the company's database for leads coming in from potential clients. Collaboration is key in this role, as interns will work closely with their office sales manager, intern program manager, and a team of sales representatives to observe a deal through the entire sales cycle. Additionally, interns will track all prospecting, leads, meetings, and daily tasks, ensuring they gain a comprehensive understanding of the sales process. The internship also involves working closely with the New Client Setup (NCS) team to implement the entire setup of each company. Interns will assist in training new clients on the Paycom system and support the NCS team while the new client runs their first payroll with the company. Professional development and sales training sessions will be presented weekly, providing interns with continuous learning opportunities throughout their internship experience.
