About The Position

Applications are open for paid and unpaid internships at Caravan for Summer 2026 in both production-centered and post-production roles. Interns are an integral part of the team, providing essential support to the entire office in creative, administrative and technical ways. The ideal candidate demonstrates an attention to detail, ability to work independently and a curiosity for improving the creative and technical process. Most importantly, they are enthusiastic and eager to contribute. All interns have the opportunity to work on set as a Production Assistant as well as identify specific focus areas to receive additional hands-on training (camera, G&E, visual effects, production design, color, sound mixing, etc) as projects and schedules allow.

Requirements

  • Creativity - we are looking for team members with creative solutions to storytelling and workflow
  • Communication - effective, efficient communication is necessary, English proficiency is a must
  • Quality Control - you must be obsessed with completing tasks fully, paying attention to details, and possess an openness to and great attitude about receiving ongoing feedback
  • Experience - should have 1+ year of production or post experience, although college students enrolled in a relevant program of study will also be considered
  • Basic understanding of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder
  • Basic understanding of databases and advertising

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of After Effects, Audition, LucidLink, Davinci Resolve, Premiere Productions and Photoshop is useful
  • Understanding LTO archival systems and small-business server management is also helpful, but not necessary
  • Knowledge of GoogleSheets, Gmail, Wordpress, Vimeo, ChatGPT, Instagram and LinkedIn is useful
  • Strong communication and organizational skills will also prove helpful

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the inventory of office supplies, snacks, beverages
  • File receipts and process invoices as directed by Producers
  • Manage contact lists for above and below the line crew
  • Coordinate travel for the Caravan team and collaborators as needed
  • Assist with pulling location permits and other production paperwork as needed for productions
  • Assist in coordinating vendors for rentals and production supplies
  • Interface with crews during production to ensure their needs are being met
  • Act as a Production Assistant on all local Caravan productions over the course of the internship (travel is also possible and will be assigned on a project basis)
  • Assist in office-related & operational duties as needed
  • Work with Head of Post and editors on department and project needs
  • Sustain the organization of production servers, LTO archival systems, hard drives and equipment
  • Create high quality selects sequences for footage licensing
  • Log and tag footage
  • Ensure assets are present and set up in a professional and clean manner that fits post-production workflow
  • Ingest and sync media
  • Create transcodes and proxies
  • Purchase, ship and track drives for clients and collaborators
  • QC cuts prior to sending
  • Work with EP and Executive Staff to draft captions and headlines, as well as build posts for social media
  • Inherit web assets to build pages for new projects and new talent
  • Inherit assets to upload on various media organizational platforms (e.g. Vimeo, LittleBlackBook and Simian)
  • Ensure all the latest work is uploaded across all platforms including Vimeo, Wordpress, LittleBlackBook and Simian
  • Utilize AgencySource database to create contact lists by geographic region and import information into CRM, Copper
  • Update email blast templates and assist with weekly cold outreach
