Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Learn about the mission, culture, and daily operations of Sight & Sound Ministries, Inc. Work under the direction of the Wardrobe Supervisor and team Leads on daily tasks and specific projects that are intended to provide an educational experience, as well as tangible benefit to the team. Act as a relief for various roles within the Wardrobe Department. Attend weekly leadership development sessions with other company interns where leaders from throughout the company will present a variety of leadership and cultural topics. Shadow various departments based on interest and skill set. Attend show operations and company meetings, training sessions, and events to gain further understanding of what it looks like to work in a professional theater. Prerequisites: Currently enrolled, and in good standing, with an accredited post-secondary educational program. Priority will be given to students in the second half of their educational program. Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical. Flexibility to work a variety of show run hours, including some Friday nights and Saturdays. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn through a variety of experiences. Experience with basic sewing/mending, wig maintenance, and live theater wardrobe is helpful. Ability to receive both affirming and constructive feedback. The ideal candidate must be eager to learn, have a positive attitude, and a willingness to adapt as needed. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand regularly; walk regularly; sit occasionally; run occasionally; use hands to finger, handle, or feel regularly; reach with hands and arms regularly; climb or balance occasionally; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally; talk or hear regularly. The employee must regularly lift weight and / or exerts force up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
