About The Position

This summer internship offers hands-on exposure to both day-to-day supply chain operations and strategic logistics engineering. Interns will rotate between two teams, gaining real-world experience supporting customer freight operations while also learning how logistics networks are designed, optimized, and improved.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with data (Excel required; exposure to logistics tools is a plus)
• Clear communicator who can work independently and in team environments
• Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn how supply chains operate end to end

Responsibilities

• Track shipments and monitor transit performance to ensure delivery deadlines are met
• Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve shipment issues
• Assist with inventory reconciliation and material flow through warehouses or cross-docks
• Generate reports and analyze shipment, order, and inventory data
• Help identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities
• Gain hands-on experience using transportation and inventory management systems
• Support inbound and outbound logistics network design for customer accounts
• Assist with route optimization and transportation planning to reduce miles and transit time
• Analyze shipment volumes, weights, and frequencies to improve efficiency
• Track and communicate key performance metrics
• Participate in projects focused on cost savings, network optimization, and new customer launches
• Learn and use logistics analysis tools and routing software
