The deadline for all the application materials and assessments to be completed is March 16, 2026. #summerinternship Summer Internship program will start on 6/1 and run through 7/31 The Intern supports departmental operations and strategic initiatives within an assigned department while gaining hands-on, practical experience in their field of study. Interns work under the supervision of a department leader or licensed professional and contribute to projects, research, and daily operations in either a clinical or nonclinical setting. Work under the supervision of a department leader, manager, or licensed professional to complete assigned duties and projects. Assist with operational, administrative, clinical, or professional tasks aligned with the intern’s academic program and the department needs. Observe, document, and communicate work progress, findings, or issues to the supervising leader or team. Interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization using appropriate communication methods. Participate in staff meetings, project meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions as requested. Proactively seek out learning opportunities, manage time effectively, and appropriately prioritize assignments. Manage data, conduct research, and prepare reports, summaries, or presentations related to assigned projects. Follow all organizational policies, procedures, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements. 9 West – This 27 bed unit certified in Advance Hip and Knee from the Joint Commission, is the primary Surgery unit for elective Orthopedic spine and joint procedures. They serve as the alternate unit for trauma, neurosurgery, urology and other surgery and medicine patients. You will provide nursing care that includes taking the patient's blood pressure, checking their oxygen levels and temperature, as well as assisting patients of all sexes and genders with bathing, meals, toileting, ambulation, and other basic needs. The Patient Care Tech/Nursing Assistant role can include one-on-one care of patients on suicide or safety precautions.

Requirements

  • Education: Two years of High School required.
  • Experience: None required.
  • Licensure, certification, and/or registration/Life Support: May be required to obtain/maintain BLS.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, communication, and listening skills.
  • Manual dexterity and visual perception.
  • Job requires good hearing, clear understandable speech, and good finger dexterity.
