Summer Internship - North Sea Operations
About The Position
Participants in this summer internship will contribute to real business projects while developing technical, safety, and operational knowledge in a live energy environment. The program structure includes an onshore induction and training, an offshore rotation (approximately 3 weeks), an onshore project assignment, and a final presentation and assessment. Valaris' core purpose is to provide responsible solutions that deliver energy to the world, utilizing a diverse fleet of ultra-deepwater drillships, versatile semisubmersibles, and modern shallow-water jackups. The company emphasizes safety, innovation, and excellence in challenging offshore environments with technologically advanced rigs and well-trained crews.
Requirements
- Currently studying an Engineering degree (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum, or related)
- Minimum completion of 2nd year of study
- Not yet graduated (final-year students eligible)
Responsibilities
- Support operational teams onshore and offshore on assigned projects
- Participate in safety and operational activities offshore under supervision
- Conduct analysis and contribute to improvement initiatives onshore
- Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders
