Interns work under the supervision of a department leader or designee and contribute to daily operations, projects such as research or strategic initiatives as well as other duties as assigned. Assist with operational, administrative or professional tasks aligned with department needs and the intern’s academic program. Observe, document, and communicate work progress, findings, or issues to the supervising leader or team. Interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization using appropriate communication methods. Participate in staff meetings, project meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions as requested. Proactively seek out learning opportunities, manage time effectively, and appropriately prioritize assignments. Follow all organizational policies, procedures, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements. Accountable for performing office or clinical job responsibilities as needed for the department with a focus in APP services. Provides support for clinical and medical staff in the delivery of quality medical care. Assists with patient care as directed by the physician and clinical staff within scope of training.
