General Description/Scope of Responsibilities (Internship): We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Intern to join our GSDS team. The intern will work collaboratively with statisticians and other stakeholders to utilize machine learning and advanced AI techniques for the development of analyses toolbox, leveraging our in-house clinical database. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to gain hands-on experience in artificial intelligence, data analysis, and clinical data while contributing to meaningful projects in the healthcare industry.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled students with adequate coursework and excellent grades in quantitative and computational sciences towards B.S. degree.
- Majors in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics or Computer Science are preferred.
- R, Python, JAVA, or C++
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Experiences with machine learning and AI techniques through projects or course work
- Travel: < 10%
Responsibilities
- Literature review
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand project requirements and objectives
- Explore and analyze the clinical database to identify relevant data for the project
- Implement machine learning algorithms and AI techniques to develop models
- Develop a user-friendly analysis toolbox
- Present to statistical staff or general audience on AI related topics and the tasks accomplished during internship
