About The Position

We are looking for Summer Interns to join our Mt Pleasant, Florence, Columbia, or Greenville Market! Our Summer Intern position provides the opportunity to work as a Teller in a branch office retail environment or concentrate in a credit administration, operations, or support area of the bank. Position Summary: Functions as a Summer Teller or performs functions that are concentrated in a credit administration, operations, or support area. Responsible for daily tasks with regard to assigned credit administration, operations, or support area. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Cash-handling experience
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and time-management skills
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Handle account transactions for customers, including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, cashier's checks, and opening and closing accounts
  • Identify customer needs, provide information on new products and services, and direct customers to branch representatives if interested
  • Reconcile cash drawers at the end of your shift, count and package coins and currency, turn in any excess or damaged currency to head teller
  • Track, record, report, and store transactional information and special requests
  • Provide a high level of customer service, providing answers and assistance with a smile
  • Publishes daily reports to assist front line bankers in making timely decisions
  • Performs account investigations as appropriate
  • Assist with projects as needed
  • Gather and prepare information as requested
  • Ensures compliance with record retention requirements
  • Provides branch and customer support on day-to-day issues.
  • Demonstrate proper application of compliance regulation
  • Adhere to all internal and regulatory guidelines
  • Work with others in a candid and open manner.
  • Work collaboratively to identify solutions in the best interest of FRB.
