About The Position

The CPS Intern is designed to provide interns with exposure and learning opportunities emphasizing a focus on pressure pumping and hydraulic fracturing. CPS Interns may be assigned to one or more functional departments including but not limited to Sales, Operations and Engineering. Essential duties include the following: Champions the company’s H.S.E.&T program in all aspects of work performed to provide quality service in a safe and efficient manner. Will spend time learning about Cudd Energy Services, attending new hire safety orientation, Basic Employee Skills Training, learning/observing basic fracturing pumping equipment and stimulation field services. Time may be spent with different functional departments ranging from Operations, Engineering/Technical services, Sales or other groups. The majority of task assignments and training conducted will be in a mentored and supervised role. Must be willing to become involved in actual direct labor tasks if they are deemed necessary in the understanding of all aspects of Operations. Will be evaluated on an ongoing basis with input from the primary mentors. Performs any and all job duties as assigned by supervisory personnel including general labor, as necessary. This position is required to perform safety sensitive functions as defined in the CES Drug and Alcohol Plan. With eight employees and a hydraulic snubbing unit, Bobby Joe Cudd founded Cudd Pressure Control in 1977 in Woodward, Oklahoma. Specializing in well firefighting and well control in Western Oklahoma, we quickly expanded into Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1978. In 1979, CPC acquired several companies to expand into Texas and Louisiana. In 1980, Rollins Inc. acquired CPC and merged it into its oilfield services group that already included Patterson Services and Patterson Tubular. In 1984, Rollins Inc. created a spin-off consisting of Patterson and CPC called RPC Energy Services (NYSE: RES). From 1986 through 1995, operations expanded through acquisitions and improved market conditions; well firefighting in Kuwait in the early 1990s provided tremendous international exposure and growth for the company. In 1996, RPC Energy Services was renamed RPC Inc. In 2000, we expanded into the pressure pumping market with the formation of Cudd Pumping Services, offering well acid and fracturing services in East Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. With the acquisition of Freemayer Technical Services, we extended our service offering into the Permian Basin region of West Texas and eastern New Mexico. Cudd Pressure Control and Cudd Pumping Services now operate as an integrated oil and gas field service provider under the marketing name Cudd Energy Services (CES). With over 2,000 employees in more than 60 markets, our service capabilities include stimulation, coiled tubing, e-coil, hydraulic workover, nitrogen, slickline/braided line, electric line, industrial nitrogen, water management, well control, and special services.
