Goodwin, an international, AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a Summer Intern to support our Private Equity team as well as our Legal Recruiting team in San Francisco. The Summer Intern must have strong interpersonal and solid communication skills and be comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) and a strong attention to detail.
  • Motivated self-starter, who takes initiative and follows through.
  • A team player with exceptional client service skills and an ability to build and maintain working relationships.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong proficiency with Internet-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with M&A and investment transactions as instructed.
  • Provide support with basic administrative and research tasks related to M&A and investment transactions, as instructed
  • Provide support with due diligence, matter process management and closing process.
  • Attend team and matter management meetings.
  • Support deal term review, database and insights projects.
  • Manage multiple tasks and complete under time constraints.
  • Collaborate with the Legal Recruiting team on other projects as assigned.
  • Additional projects as assigned by the Legal Recruiting team.
