About The Position

The Staples Summer Internship Program is a full-time position for 10-12 weeks. The Store Planning and Presentation Intern will join the Staples US Retail Merchandising team to help activate the Brand strategy. This role is part of the team to bring the transformation to life for customers, especially during the Back to School season. Interns will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team-oriented focus. The ideal candidate should have a desire to learn, the ability to work independently and cross-functionally, and a strong attention to detail.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of undergraduate studies
• Basic Excel skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and balance workload
• High attention to detail, capable of error-free execution

Responsibilities

• Work with Signing, Store Planning and POG teams to align on development of strategy to implement in stores
• Assist in managing tasks associated with implementation of store initiatives
• Input draft floor plans into store merchandising software
• Coordinate with partner teams to maintain/upgrade existing Store Planning systems
• Create ad hoc reports and analysis as needed
• Coordinate ad-hoc merchandising change requests from stores
• Collect and organize information from vendors
• Collect images of products to assist in managing planograms
• Manage merchandising projects and take lead on scheduling, communications, and deliverables
• Provide quality assurance by reviewing and revising all modified store layouts ensuring all changes are accurate and merchandising principles are maintained
• Assist in management of store analytics and reporting
