Summary:
Vaxcyte’s Summer Internship program offers students with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience that complements their college curriculum with relevant hands-on work that can shape their future career pathing and interests.
As a Research Intern for Vaxcyte, you will work on a project as outlined below:
Support formulation and stability activities for a pipeline molecule within Research, gaining hands-on laboratory experience.
Assist in executing a stability study, including sample preparation, storage, and testing.
Collect, organize, and analyze stability data to evaluate storage and handling conditions.
Assess the impact of excipients on molecule stability and overall formulation performance.
Present findings and recommendations to the Research team.
The Intern will learn and practice:
The day-to-day responsibilities of a bench scientist within a pharmaceutical research environment.
Fundamental principles of vaccine development, including how Vaxcyte’s programs contribute to global public health.
Designing and executing high-quality experiments using the scientific method in an industry setting.
Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting experimental data to support research decisions.
Operating and gaining hands-on experience with modern laboratory instrumentation and analytical tools.
Program Details:
The Internship will begin in June and will be around 10 weeks (8 hours per day) in duration at our San Carlos, California location.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (enrolled student with at least 1 year at university completed) with a focus on Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and work quality.
• Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork.
• Enthusiastic-Shows curiosity and is eager to learn.
• Dedicated.
