About The Position

KIPP NYC Public Schools, founded in 1995, is a non-profit network of 18 free, public charter schools across the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. They partner with families and communities to create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students for college, career, and beyond. KIPP NYC provides engaging academics, arts, athletics, and social-emotional learning, and through KIPP Forward, supports alumni in college, career, and life. The network serves over 9,400 students, supports 4,700 alumni, and employs over 1,100 dedicated team members. The KIPP NYC Summer Project Employee role within Regional Academics is designed for rising college juniors or seniors of all majors interested in gaining hands-on experience in education and nonprofit work. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to work that directly impacts schools and students, while gaining exposure to regional academic operations.

Requirements

  • Rising college juniors or seniors of all majors
  • A strong alignment with KIPP NYC’s mission and a commitment to supporting student success
  • Interest in education, nonprofit work, and/or systems that support student achievement
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work with urgency, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the Teaching & Learning and Student Support Services teams by providing logistical and administrative support throughout the summer
