About The Position

UPMC Health Plan has an exciting opportunity for a Summer Intern in the Quality Improvement department. This role will be reporting to Quality Analytics Project Manager Lead. In this role, the intern is expected to be able to learn by assisting in capturing documentation of our vendor application process flows (Novillus CGMA - Care gap application management) and Astrata NLP(Natural Language processing). This role will help in building project management plans, testing plans, required documentation and capturing and analyzing workflows to enhance processes from As-Is model to a better functioning To-Be model. This internship is scheduled from May 26 – Aug 14, 2026. Some flexibility to start/end dates is available if necessary. Irrespective of the published compensation in this posting, wages may be adjusted based on education and experience levels.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Strongly Preferred.
  • Current or recent Graduate student with education or experience focused on project management and documentation.
  • Must have solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience writing queries and use of Azure DevOps is preferred.

Responsibilities
