About The Position

The Summer Intern in Operations & Solutions at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey provides an opportunity for college students to gain hands-on experience in the Engineering Solutions group. This role focuses on supporting technology applications, data management, and computer hardware/software administration, allowing interns to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world environment.

Requirements

• Enrollment at a college/university through Summer 2025 and into the Fall 2025 semester.
• Major in Computer Science or Data Science.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Familiar with Office 365 toolset - Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.
• Familiar with programming languages such as SQL, C#, Python.
• Some knowledge of Azure Cloud Services.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and create content and apps within the SharePoint Engineering Intranet (EOL) and/or with Microsoft DEVOP toolset.
• Work with the development team to test and perform minor application changes to existing applications.
• Work with Engineering's SaaS solutions in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
• Collaborate with the Process Automation team to identify and implement advanced AI enablement solutions.
• Help maintain databases to ensure data accuracy and concurrency.
• Support desktops, servers, and engineering design software with the HW/SW support team.
