About The Position
Union Pacific's Mechanical Department intern program enables talented students to experience the work environment of a Fortune 140 company while continuing their education. Students gain insight into the U.S. transportation industry while being paid and working for an industry leader. The summer internship is based on departmental needs and student interests. Interns will work full-time hours and may work outside of traditional business hours as needed. Interns will be expected to travel to their designated assignment at one of the major locomotive or car facilities. Locations may include: Chicago, IL and Houston, TX. The estimated wage for this position is between $21-$26 per hour. Final rate of pay will be based on several factors including year of study, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
